How you organize your efforts, materials, and information can make a winning first impression when the surveyors arrive at your organization. This first impression tells the surveyors how well you know the standards and demonstrates your ability to implement them into your daily practice. A good first impression goes a long way to enhance your survey results.

This 60-minute program presents typical questions that are asked of leadership personnel and provides a review of system tracers interviews. Through in-depth expert panel discussion, case studies, and scenarios, this activity shares with you the entire accreditation process and provides practical, up-to-date information to help all levels of hospital staff to maintain a state of constant survey readiness

Target Audience
This session is designed for clinicians who may be called on to do visits or interact with the surveyor and persons who conduct supervisory or tracer visits in your organization. This includes, but is not limited to: nurses, therapists, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, equipment delivery, warehouse, customer service, and maintenance staff.

Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify ways to better prepare for a survey.
  • Improve systems and processes through use of tracer methodology and aggregation of tracer findings data.
  • Discuss strategies for maintaining a state of constant survey readiness.
